Caravan park electrical installations should be inspected and tested at least every year. Hook-up points, distribution boards and external circuits are exposed to the elements, so regular testing ensures safety and compliance with BS 7671.

Yes. Each pitch hook-up needs full inspection and testing, including:

• Socket condition
• RCD performance
• Earthing & bonding
• Zs / R1+R2 measurements
• Cable integrity back to the distribution board

Each hook-up counts as a circuit in the EICR.

We minimise disruption by scheduling around guest turnover, low-occupancy periods or off-peak hours. Hook-ups can be tested between departures/arrivals, and most external circuits can be safely tested without affecting guests.

This depends on the size of your site. As a guide:

• Small park (30–80 pitches): 1 day
• Medium park (80–150 pitches): 1–2 days
• Large park (150–300+ pitches): 2–4 days
